My phone just says establishing connection and it doesn't connect.

When you try to call your friend from the Qik contacts list, and it shows establishing connection and then times out after some time, please try these following steps.
1) Make sure both users have signed up for a Qik account, and logged in to their Qik account on their phones.
2) To make the call, type in the Qik Username of the other party in the "search/call" box and then press the call icon to connect. Subsequent calls can then be made from the recent calls list to save time manually typing in the Qik username each time you make the call.
If all these steps are followed, and the recipient is still not receiving the call, it could be that their Qik app has gone idle, and not receiving notifications. If this is the case, ask them to open the Qik application, go to Video Chat, and make sure that the green light is on beside their Qik username. Then, try and make the call again.
Dialing directly by username is the most effective way to make the call.
