For users who are experiencing inverted videos on their Galaxy S devices, do you mind providing us with the following information so that we can investigate your issue further?

This information can be found on your device by visiting 'Settings' and tapping on the 'About phone' menu.

Hi, no, the issue is still here. We are talking about version 0.11.33 from July 2011. Samsung Galaxy S 4G (T-Mobile).

And it is combined now with turning down my volume.

So the picture of the own picture is upside down, if using the front camera. But it is correct, if using the back camera.

And as mentioned it turns down the volume at least on my side of the conversation so that I can hardly hear the other side (I need to hold it close to my ear). I turned all volume settings up to maximum, but with an actice QIK application in the background this does not increase the volume (it stays tiny).

@swbtls:  Please uninstall all Qik application on your device by going to the phone settings of your device, tap on Application>Manage applications>Qik Video>Uninstall updates. After doing so, please reboot your device and go to the Android market to install the latest version for Qik Video by Sprint, version 11.59. Let me know if it works for you.

I have the same problems. Video is inverted and I get no sound at all. We don't get sound on speaker phone, Bluetooth or regular speaker mode. My wife has the same issue and our phones and system info are the same.The sooner you can figure this out the better. I am out of town a lot for work and I would love to be able to video chat with my wife and daughters. My 7 year old would be ecstatic over it.

I have the same problems. Video is inverted and poor sound.  Bluetooth or regular are very weak  We have four phones of same build, firmway adn same issue and our phones and system info are the same.The sooner you can figure this out the better.  you did the hard part witht the video, now do the easy part and invert picutre and add sound.

Please request that your friends perform a contacts sync on their devices.

To perform a contacts sync,

1) On your home screen, tap on the menu button and then tap 'Settings'.

2) Tap on 'Accounts & sync'

3) Scroll to Qik Video Chat and tap it

4) Tap on 'Sync contacts'

5) Go back to the video chat app, and check your contacts again.

also, audio is still very very weak.  not as loud as regular cell phon conversations on speaker.   please send fix for that also.

***CAN NOT HEAR *** video inversion is fixed. but you still have the other half of the problem in that the voices barely audible as reported previously.   turn up the volume a lot and improve voice quality.   most important is voice and second is video. if video needs to be herky jerky, so be it.  but you need  tohear the other person

So I installed the update that was sent to me and it did correct the video. Now it disconnects every 30 seconds or so. I still have no sound on one phone and minimal sound on the other. So even though it was upside down and silent before at least I could use it. Now I can't even do that really. Can I get a patch, update or something to fix what the fix broke?

In the meantime, we would suggest that you may use a headset to improve the volume.

I am having one problem. There used to be a speaker for the old version of qik and I was able to hear people loud and clear. But after updating the newest qik version, the sound was still small. Hi, my wife and I are having the issue with my Samsung Galaxy S  front-facing camera showing  our faces upside down.  Also, my phone recognizes her in my contact list as a qik user, but her phone doesn't recognize me as a qik user in her contacts.  My email address is   mrcdjtoo@gmail.com

Hi.  I am having the inverted video problem as well.  Also, is there a way to put it on speaker while video chatting?  One more question:  several of my contacts synced but I can't seem to sync my wife's Qik account to my Google contacts within the phone or via the web.  Thank you for your help.  chaddeloach@gmail.com

WEAK OR NO AUDIO - The only way to get this fixed is to quit posting and start calling.  (Who knows how often anyone reads this and if anyone in management reads this blog)?

 

Everyone who has this problem needs to call

  Samsung - 800-726-7864

  T-Mobile - 800-937-8997

 

And ask that the problem be escalated and ask that it is fixed.  Do not accept that it is not their problem; the app was loaded on their phone when you bought it.   Tell them this could go viral and be ugly for them and hinder future sales.

Inverted video problem and crashes everytime and does an automatic reboot that freezes up the phone. Seems like this problem has been going on for over a month. if it can't be fixed within a week I am deleting the program. Not worth the hassle

Won't video chat through front facing camera. Only  using primary camera. Button to switch is on the screen but only makes screen black for a few seconds before returning to rear camera.

There is a latest update in the Android market, version 11.62 for T-Mobile Video Chat powered by Qik which will resolve the inverted video issue.

We appreciate all your patience with Qik.

We are aware that there is some audio issue with the version and we are working on it.

We would suggest as a temporary solution, you might like to use a headset to improve the audio quality at the moment.
