I agree, my family uses skype. It would be nice to use qik to chat.

I was looking all over trying to find if it added my Skype contacts so I could contact them but didnt see anything. Any word yet on when this will happen?

Wi-Fi is on...4G is on....4 bars....Sprint EVO 4G Phone...keep getting "Error" Unable to connect to the server

This Qik software is pretty much useless if it is available only on mobile phone and allows you to call only other qick user.

If you could merege Skype contacts and QIK contacts into one contact list where we could video chat with both it would be great .... I use Skype all the time but on my EVO we can only talk no video is aviable with Skype mobile on Sprint ... Qik is useless when most of my friends use Skype

Used the new Qik for Sprint the other day and called one person...it worked but it was very delayed and jerky...will search for the EVO 4G forum ported Skype that Steve Hutch mentioned...Steve...could you send a link???

Seems the Qik organization has gone to sleep and Qik for Sprint does not work on all Sprint smartphones with forward facing cameras. I just got a Motorola Photon 4G to video chat with others in my family using HTC EVO 4G's and Nexus S (Qik runs on those) but much to my suprise Qik (for Sprint) does not work correctly. Sometimes not connecting at all and when it does, others cannot hear me (yes I know how to use the mute button). Annoying to say the least, grand oversigght be Motorola and Sprint regarding consumer interest in video chat. Here we are with the most advanced technology and a basic video chat program doesn't even work!!!

OPS - Skype for android does not support this phone nor does it have video chat capability.

found vTok today, allows me to video chat with my google contacts on evo 4g with 2.3.3.  Call failed a few times, but eventually worked this morning.  app can be found on the market

would have been better to buy FRING as it solved all this years ago; phone-phone, phone-laptop, integration with social networks - brilliant, until skype fell out with them!
