Issue on inverted video for Motorola Atrix users

Hi Everyone,

Currently, Qik does not support video calls from Motorola Atrix to iPhone, hence you could be facing the issues of inverted videos during your video calls. We would encourage all users to remove Qik Video Connection, version 0.08.43 from their device, if you have install the update previously. Please install Qik for Atrix, version 4.94, from the Android market on your phone instead.

We appreciate your patience as we work on the possibility of the next update to enable video calls to be made to iPhone users.

Let us know if you have additional concerns.

hmm still have inverted video on my atrix. with ver.0.08.43

I'm still having this issue. I've only ever had 0.8.43.

was able to connect using QIK  for Atrix v. 0.04.94 to iphone/ipad -- but had inverted video on front-facing camera.

Note -- I tried using Qik Video Connect .08.43 -- -but it did not work/connect.

@To all Atrix users: Please uninstall the application, Qik Video Connect, version 0.08.43 on your Atrix and install the compatible application, Qik for Atrix, version 0.04.94. Currently, we do not support video calls from Atrix to iPhone. We appreciate your patience as we look into providing an update that will enable video calls to iPhone users. Let us know if you have additional concerns.

@naufil: Hi, may I know what is your mobile carrier and do you mind providing us with the following details?

1.)  Firmware Version
2.)  Baseband Version
3.) Kernel Version
4.) Build Number
5.) Model Number

This information can be found on your device by visiting 'Settings' and tapping on the 'About phone' menu.

@lynette: Am having the same issues with Qik on the Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 too with the latest Gingerbread update.

Firmware 2.3.3 (ginger bread)

Baseband: p1000xxjpz

kernel version: 2.6.35.7 se.infra@sep-52 # 2

A lot of the other Galaxy Tab users that have updated to Gingerbread are facing the same issues too, as noticed on XDA (in fact all of them are...facing the inverted video)

Works well with any other Android phones only, but not Iphone.  I am running ver 4.94 on Atrix phone and still does not connect to iphone users with qik.

My daughter and I each have an Atrix.  When we video conference using qik, the video is mirrored vertically (i.e. appears as if looking in a mirror).  But this is also how the front camera takes photos with the camera software too.  Is there a way to reverse the image so that when using VC the image appears correctly for the other person?  Qik version 0.11.16 on Atrix with system version 4.1.83, Android 2.2.2

FYI.  I also am having the problem of inverted video on my HTC Incredible, same specs as Mike Rodgers, when I held my phone upright.  When I turn it sidewards it fixes itself and is correct.  Looks much better too!!

@ To all Atrix users: Please go to the Android market to install the latest version Qik for Atrix, version 11.16 which would allow you to connect to iPhone users. Let us know if you have additional concerns.
